Alaska Energy Authority is pleased to announce a second year of funding for energy efficiency audits for privately owned commercial buildings across Alaska.
By April 4, 2012, AEA approved 85 commercial buildings across Alaska to receive energy audit services this year (see the 2012 Selected Buildings by Community below). In addition 94 buildings received energy audits in 2011. While this year's funds have been fully obligated, AEA is still accepting applications for a waitlist in the event that approved applicants do not use all of their reserved funding, and/or to be considered for funding in future rounds of funding.
The program provides reimbursements of qualified commercial energy audits for privately owned commercial buildings up to 160,000 square feet. The maximum reimbursement is set by the building size and complexity and ranges from $1,800 for buildings under 2,500 square feet up to $7,000 for buildings from 60,000 to 160,000 square feet.
The 2012 Program Guidelines document below contains all the details. The first year's program materials (2011) are also printed below for reference for the applicants in that year's funding. Please select the correct year's documents. This program is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act under CFDA Number 81.128, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants.
Results from the program will soon be available on the Alaska Energy Efficiency Map. A link will be posted here when available.
