Kirk Warren, P.E., PMP
Director, Engineering and Energy Development
Kirk Warren is the director of engineering and energy development for the Alaska Energy Authority (AEA), where he is responsible for managerial oversite of AEA’s owned assets. In this role he works collaboratively with AEA’s executive director and Board of Director’s on energy policy and planning initiatives related to the Railbelt region of the state. Warren joined AEA in 2011, serving in various management roles throughout his tenure.
Prior to his work at AEA, Warren was the engineering manager at ENSTAR Natural Gas Company for five years. He also has 12 years of state service at the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. Warren has a long history of project management on large infrastructure projects spanning multiple sectors in Alaska ranging from highway, bridge, public facilities, energy and pipeline engineering, design and construction.
Warren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Alaska since 2003.
Warren served four years in the United States Army as an airborne ranger.
Outside of work, Warren is an avid runner and enjoys golfing, hiking, and reading.
