Solar Energy
The Solar Energy Program is involved with efforts to increase the use of solar energy within the state of Alaska. Solar energy is highly valuable to Alaskans in the summer time when the midnight sun can be seen through much of the state. Summer lodges, fish camps, and communities with seasonal industrial loads may find solar pjotovoltaic or solar thermal to be viable options. AEA promotes the research, development, and installation of solar projects around the state.
