Our Assistant Project Manager position helps explain requirements, prepares and oversees the progress of business plans for Bradley Lake seeking code compliant equipment for the Bradley Lake Expansion Project. This position also assists in the development of various energy projects as implemented under the Cook Inlet Project Link program. This is the beginning level of project management and is characterized by less complexity and responsibility than a Project Manager.

We're looking for someone who preferably has a Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, engineering or a related field; or a minimum of four years of work experience in one or a combination of the following: grants administration, community or economic development, infrastructure project planning or program management.

Our Project Manager position will play a critical role in the successful planning, implementation and oversight of Bradley Lake Expansion Project under the general guidance of the Bradley Lake Hydro Manager and Chief Dam Safety Engineer. As part of the position, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and overseeing programs, directing and managing projects, providing technical assistance, writing and managing grant applications, and coordinating with various partners in order to provide support to internal teams and stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in planning, designing and constructing energy projects in the diverse energy landscape of Alaska, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

We're looking for someone who has a Bachelor's degree in relevant field (engineering, environmental science, rural development, business); advanced degree preferred.  5 years of qualifying experience.  “Strong” preference will be given to candidates with a professional engineering license in the State of Alaska.

Our Rural Programs Manager position will Manage the planning, design and construction of rural power systems, including diesel power plants, renewable energy systems and power distribution systems.  Provide technical assistance to rural Alaska communities in order to allow them to maintain safe and reliable electrical power generation and distribution systems. At higher ranges, this position coordinates AEA programs to ensure rural Alaska communities are able to maintain safe and reliable electricity.  This involves supervising project managers who construct and/or upgrade electrical powerplants, bulk fuel tank farms, renewable energy systems and electrical distribution systems.  Knowledge of AEA efforts statewide is critical to the success of this position.  Program management at this level is complex, diverse and requires in-depth knowledge of the agency programs and requires a good working relationship with upper management. This position exercises independent judgment on matters of significance regarding AEA’s rural programs.

We're looking for someone who has an Alaska driver’s license and 5 years of experience in the construction, operations and maintenance of Rural Alaska Power Systems.

This position is responsible for overseeing engineering studies, field investigations and the development of engineering design for the Alaska Energy Authority’s owned assets and grant projects under the general guidance of the Federal Projects Director.

We're looking for someone who has a Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and project management. Master’s degree in a related field may be used as substitute for two years of qualified experience. Licensure as a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Alaska is preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or specialty certifications from the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) such as Construction Documents Technology (CDT) or a Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) are preferred.
