Brandy M. Dixon is the communications director for the Alaska Energy Authority, the state's energy office and lead agency for statewide energy policy and program development. In her role, she oversees AEA’s communications efforts including community and public outreach, organizational partnerships, government and media relations, social media, and online and print publications. Her work promotes public awareness, strengthens AEA’s reputation and supports the fulfillment of its mission.

Dixon brings more than 15 years of diverse communications experience across the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining AEA, she served as communications and events director for the Alaska Chamber of Commerce, the state's largest trade association, where she was instrumental in securing United States Chamber Accreditation for its sound policies, strong organizational procedures and positive community impact.

Earlier in her career, Dixon held several roles of increasing responsibility at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, the nation’s largest and most comprehensive tribal health organization, serving more than 180,000 Alaska Natives and American Indians. She ultimately served as special assistant to the chief executive officer, providing strategic support to advance organizational goals.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in art with a concentration in graphic design from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
