Hydroelectric power is the largest renewable energy source in the state, producing more energy than every other renewable resource combined.
Hydroelectric projects are found throughout the state, but primarily in the Aleutian Islands and Southeast Alaska. The following map shows hydroelectric projects funded through the Renewable Energy Fund and those that have received other state funding. Links below are to projects that have received funding and are under construction or have been constructed.
